Hello,

 

My name is Katie Mitchell, and this is my first year at Valley View Junior High. I am a double graduate from Arkansas State University; I have my Bachelor's of Science in English Education and a Master's of Science in Curriculum and Instruction.  For the past four and a half years, I taught ninth grade English at Marion Junior High in Marion, Arkansas.   

 

My passion is teaching, and my favorite subject has always been English because I love to read and write.  I am elated to be at a school that values the importance of reading. I hope to encourage all my students to continue reading throughout their entire lives because readers are leaders!
